Hon. Dan Chike Ogu, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Imo State, has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their victory over the Pharaohs of Egypt during their first Group D match at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Cameroon.
Ogu was joyous that the Super Eagles put up a superlative and superb performance to defeat the Pharaohs of Egypt, who are considered one of the favourites to win the tournament.
The Sports Commissioner urged the Super Eagles to maintain the same rhythm, spirit, and tempo throughout the tournament so as to come back home with the golden trophy.
He also lauded the technical crew of the Super Eagles for doing a great job. He gave kudos to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare and his team, and the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation.
