Tunisia duo Issam Jebali and Dylan Bronn have recovered from coronavirus and should be in action against Nigeria in Sunday’s AFCON 2021 round of 16 fixtures.
Jebali and Bronn were among 12 Tunisian players who tested positive for COVID-19, Others who are also down with the virus are Head coach Mondher Kebaie, captain Wahbi Khazri, Anis Ben Slimane, Ali Maaloul, Aissa Laidouni, Ghaylène Chaalali, Ellyes Skhiri , Mohamed Romdhane, Ben Hmida, Aymen Dahmen Yoann Touzghaalso and Ali Al-Abedy and they will all also miss the game against Super Eagles of Niegria.
The Carthage Eagles’ last meeting with Nigeria was during the third-place game at the 2019 AFCON in Cairo, Egypt which they lost by an alone goal by Al Shabab Forward Odion Ighalo in the third minute.
Sunday’s game will be the sixth meeting between Nigeria and Tunisia at the AFCON with the former recording four wins and one loss.
