Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have deliberated on the national convention of the party, and say the convention will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday 18th of January.
Chairman of the party and Kebbi State governor, Abubakar Bagudu, who revealed this to journalists after a closed-door meeting held by the party governors at the Kebbi Governors Lodge in Abuja, said the agenda of the meeting entailed deliberations on the contentious national convention of the APC, and stated that the forum passed a vote of confidence on the caretaker committee of the party.
According to him, the governors also maintained that the party’s convention will still hold in February.
He added that the caretaker committee would announce the convention date on Tuesday the 18th of January.
Recall that the public had held speculations of the party not holding its national convention in February as a result of unresolved internal crises.
