Indigenes of Ezi-Mbieri, a community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, had cause to rejoice again, following the release of their traditional ruler from kidnappers den.
The monarch, Eze HenryAnoruoMadumere, who is the father of a former deputy governor of the state, EzeMadumere, was kidnapped by some gunmen on his way to a function on Friday at Iho in the Ikeduru LGA.
Making his release public, the ex-deputy governor revealed via a statement read by his Media aide, UcheOnwuchekwa, that his father gained his freedom in the early hours of Wednesday, and was driven straight to the hospital for a medical check-up.
It also noted that the octogenarian who has returned home was received amidst shouts of joy from his family and subjects.
