The Imo stakeholders meeting scheduled to hold on Monday, January 3rd, 2022, has been moved to Tuesday, January 4th, 2022
Recall the Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma, on December 18, stated that he would announce names of those allegedly sponsoring insecurity in the state.
This he had said, during an interactive stakeholder meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) elected officials in Owerri, the state capital.
Declan Emelumba, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, who disclosed the new date to newsmen in Owerri on Thursday, December 30th, 2021, announced that the great revelation will be made at the prestigious AHIAJIOKU Convention Centre.
According to him, the event will allow the governor to “deliver a powerful State of the state address where he will give account of his stewardship as the helmsman, two years on, including security and recent developments in the state…”
He further explained that the government instituted the forum as a means of “reaching Imo people to explain his policies and programmes to them…” stating that Gov. Hope Uzodinma believes in participatory democracy, hence the forum.
Emelumba also enjoined all Imo residents who are concerned to endeavour to attend to listen directly from the governor on “how the state is being run.”
