EX-FRANCE FOOTBALLER BEN YEDDER FOUND GUILTY OF PSYCHOLOGICAL VIOLENCE AGAINST ESTRANGED WIFE

Former France international Wissam Ben Yedder has been convicted of psychological violence against his estranged wife and fined €90,000. While he will appeal the verdict, this marks his second conviction under a year. Recall in November 2023, he received a suspended two-year sentence for sexual assault. He also received a six-month suspended sentence in Spain for tax fraud and is under investigation for alleged rape, along with his brother, which they deny.

In the latest case, prosecutors had sought a suspended sentence and a smaller fine, but the court imposed a higher financial penalty, including €60,000 in damages and legal costs ,Ben Yedder, 35, is currently without a club, following a short stint at Sepahan in Iran.
