SENEGALESE AUTHORITIES REPORTS FIRST MPOX CASE OF THE YEAR

Senegalese authorities have reported their first Mpox case of the year in a foreign man who arrived last week.
While the patient is stable, in isolation, and receiving care, with no new cases detected since, a total of 25 people are being monitored.
Prior now, the World Health Organization WHO in 2024 had declared Mpox a global health emergency amid outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries.
