U.S. CRACKS DOWN ON BIRTH TOURISM, VOWS TO BLOCK VISAS FOR VIOLATORS

U.S. Mission in Nigeria  has issued a warning on X, stating that visa applicants intending to travel to the U.S. primarily to give birth and secure U.S. citizenship for their child will be denied entry.

Consular officers will reject visa applications if they suspect this is the applicant’s main purpose, as part of a U.S. campaign to prevent visa misuse and enforce immigration rules.
